All Aboard for Stockwell is a community arts project led by Our Hut. It is focused on the
inspiring architecture of Stockwell bus garage and the important part it plays in the transport infrastructure of London. The aims of the project are to raise the profile of the building and to help improve the image of Stockwell both locally and throughout London.
Our Hut sees this project as a great way for the Stockwell community to come together to enjoy a whole range of activities – from school and community group based design projects, volunteer opportunities to work in schools and an oral history project that will eventually be archived at the London Transport Museum, a soundscape music project through to architectural bus tours for local residents on a Routemaster buses. All Aboard for Stockwell will culminate in an exhibition at the end of 2012 about the bus garage and showcasing the work of participants.
