Oral History

As part of the All Aboard for Stockwell project Our Hut has been working with a team of volunteers who have been collecting oral history interviews about the Stockwell Bus Garage. The aim of the oral history programme is to find out about all aspects of the garage over its 60 years – what is means to those who have or are currently working in it, those who live near and those who were involved in its design and construction or take a particular professional interest in the architecture or engineering. The interviews will be an important part of the final exhibition in edited form and will be archived in their entirety at the London Transport Museum, where they will be available for all to listen to. We hope you enjoy the excerpts included here.
